RALEIGH, NC – The Internet Summit 09 (sponsored by Scale Finance) drew a sold-out 1,200 people to the Raleigh, NC Convention Center on November 4th and 5th to hear a wealth of detailed information, tips and insights into everything from social media and blogging to protecting your reputation online and Internet advertising. “We were thrilled to have the opportunity to host over 1,200 internet executives and professionals at this week’s sold out Internet Summit," said Eric Gregg, publisher of Tech Media, copresenter with Raleigh-based Southern Capitol Ventures of the annual event.
“We look forward to incorporating many of the Internet Summit community’s great ideas into IS10 as the event continues to evolve along with the Internet itself," said Gregg.
The event brought more than 75 participants from major Internet brands to the Raleigh Convention Center, including speakers and panelists from Google, ESPN Digital, comScore, Technorati, Pandora, Lending Tree, and many others.
Tech Media’s Scott Hedrick added, "Almost doubling attendance from last year’s inaugural event is a great sign for the future growth of Internet Summit. It was a great event for not only Raleigh, but also the Internet community as a whole."
Gary Zukowski of Charlotte, NC-based TweetMyJOBS.com, a demo company, tells TechJournal South, "thought that the conference was a huge success.
"This was a great “meeting of the minds” of some of our industry’s leading innovators. I felt that there was a constant buzz of excitement, not only from the panels, but from many of the expo booths.
"Obviously, we felt the biggest buzz at our booth. It’s great to see the Southeast host such a progressive conference. I’m already looking forward to next year."
The event streamed live on the Interent and attendees turned out a constant stream of Tweets on microblogging service Twitter and blogged about the event at #isum09.
CreativeAllies (CreativeAllies.com) won the company demonstration award determined by attendee votes.
