Worrell had been offering CFO services under the name Rock Solid Finance.
David Worrell’s background includes serving as CFO for 5 companies including AmeriStart, Inc., Ballancrest Academy, and publicly-traded Feel Golf, Inc. Before coming to Charlotte, David ran Corporate Development for international healthcare consultancy, Chicago Tokyo Group in Tokyo and evaluated public telecom and wireless companies as an Analyst for Kagan World Media, Inc. in San Jose, California.
A consummate entrepreneur himself, David previously built and sold Monterey Venture Partners and InfoQuest, Inc. David is a high profile, well respected member of the Charlotte entrepreneurial community, serving on the board of the Entrepreneur Leadership Council at Queens University and in the Entrepreneur in Residence program at Packard Place. Finally, David is a prolific writer who is now authoring “The Entrepreneurs’ Guide to Financial Statements” to be published by ABC-Clio under the Praeger Press imprint next year.
In addition to adding over 40 new clients year to date in 2012, Scale Finance is also having an exceptionally strong year, closing major growth capital raises and M&A transactions. Completed deals year to date include capital raises for Northwest Companies, Enveniam, Inc., AtoZ Companies, The Coupon Doc, and Yodil, Inc.; and the sale of a Greensboro-based educational media company in a bankruptcy proceeding in Q2.
